MEDICAL SUPPLIES:
All medical supplies should be based on expressed needs articulated and
requested by the management of St. Jude Hospital.
Donations of medical supplies should always be sent with the prior knowledge
and consent of the management of St. Jude Hospital. Used disposable medical supplies should not be sent to St. Jude Hospital.
As much as possible expiry medical supplies should not be sent. However,
donated medical supplies with expiry date should have a shelf life of at
least one year.
All supplies must be labeled in English and easily understood by hospital
personnel. The label on the container should include: item name, size (where
applicable), batch number, manufacturer name, quantity in container, storage
conditions and expiry date (where applicable).
All medical supplies donated should be packed in accordance with
international shipping regulations and be accompanied by a detailed packing
list which specifies: the contents of each numbered carton by quantity,
batch number, expiry date, volume, weight and any special storage
conditions.
The value of medical supplies donated or an estimate must be provided for
Customs clearance. A comprehensive packing list must be submitted.
