HOW TO ACCESS THIS SERVICE
Three things families should know
ICU admission is a clinical decision
Patients are admitted when they need a high level of monitoring, treatment, or organ support. Our team decides based on what your loved one's condition needs.
Please identify one main contact
Families are asked to agree on one main contact person to receive updates from the team and share information with relatives. This helps us communicate clearly.
Please follow ICU safety rules
Visitors must follow hand hygiene, infection prevention, privacy, and visiting guidance from staff. These rules protect every patient in the unit.

What to expect
Before visiting
Please call ahead if required, and confirm visiting rules, your loved one's status, and any restrictions in place that day.
During ICU care
Patients may be attached to monitors, tubes, oxygen, medications, or machines that support their treatment. This can look overwhelming — staff will explain what you see.
Family updates
The team will provide updates to the approved contact according to privacy rules and clinical availability. Please be patient if we are attending to another patient.
Visiting limits
Visiting may be restricted when patients are unstable, during procedures, or for infection prevention. These limits protect your loved one and the other patients in the unit.
