St. Jude Hospital Pharmacy provides medication dispensing, medication-safety support and patient counselling for inpatients and outpatients.

Three steps for pharmacy service

Bring or confirm the prescription

Provide the prescription, clinic order, discharge prescription or medication request issued by your hospital care team.

Complete any required account or coverage step

If payment, approval or coverage information is needed for your medication, complete the required step before dispensing.

Understand the medicine before you leave

Ask about the dose, timing, storage, possible side effects, refills and what to do if a dose is missed. Tell the pharmacist about your allergies and other medicines.

Visit Information

Before your visit

Bring identification, the prescription or medication order, an up-to-date medication list and allergy information. Bring relevant coverage or payment information if it applies to your prescription.

On arrival

The pharmacy team reviews the prescription for completeness, availability, dose and medication-safety issues before dispensing.

During your visit

Medicines are prepared and labelled, and the pharmacist can provide counselling on safe use, interactions, storage, side effects and follow-up.

Urgent or safety advice

For a severe allergic reaction, difficulty breathing, collapse or another medical emergency, call 911 or go to the Emergency Room. For non-emergency medication concerns, contact Pharmacy or the prescribing clinician.

Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Closed Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. On-call pharmacy support is available for hospital needs outside routine hours.
