Tell staff before the examination if you may be pregnant, have kidney disease, have an implant or device, have important allergies, or have had a previous reaction to imaging contrast.
Register with Radiology and follow the preparation and clothing instructions for your examination. Staff will confirm your identity and the requested study before imaging begins.
A radiographer or sonographer will explain positioning and what you need to do during the examination. Some studies take longer or require contrast depending on the clinical request.
Urgent and emergency imaging is arranged according to clinical priority. If you have an emergency medical condition, go to the Emergency Room rather than presenting to Radiology without clinical assessment.
